Meet Esper Lane

CERTIFIED Baking & Cake Decorating Perfectionists

We’re Suzanne & Laura — Cake Artists, Teachers & Your NEW Cake Besties

We’ve each spent over a decade perfecting our craft and sharing it with students around the world, both individually and more recently together as Esper Lane.

What began as an online cake chat evolved into a partnership founded on friendship, shared values, and a passion for teaching. Since then, we’ve collaborated on countless projects and launched multiple online baking courses under the Esper Lane umbrella, helping hundreds of students gain confidence in their skills.

We’ve built strong relationships with some of the industry’s finest brands. You can read more about that below.

At Esper Lane, our mission is simple: to make professional-quality cake skills accessible, achievable, and fun. With our combined experience, supportive teaching style, and proven methods, we’ll help you create cakes that are not only beautiful but built to last.

Suzanne

Hi, I’m Suzanne,

I’ve been teaching sugarcraft and cake decorating since 2010, after turning a hobby into a full-time career.

Known for teaching contemporary wedding cakes, elegant sugar and wafer paper flowers, I also run in-person group and private classes from my cake school near Glasgow in Scotland.

I have my own range of sugarcraft tools, from edible dust colours to my own flower paste. I also produce my own cake stencil and acrylic designs from my cake school.

My online courses include sugar flowers, wafer paper, cake decoration and macarons, reaching over 8000+ students all over the world.

laurA

Hi, I’m Laura,

Baking has been a part of my life since childhood, and it eventually grew into my business, Love Laura Lane based in Aberdeenshire.

Starting with cupcakes and cake pops, I quickly moved into wedding cakes and sugar flowers, developing a love for creative design and flavour combinations. It’s this love of baking that inspired Suzanne and I to join forces to deliver our baking passion to hundreds of students.

Today, I’m passionate about teaching others to find the same joy in cake-making that I do.

We have so many plans for Esper Lane we’re excited to take you on the journey with us. Watch this space.
